Introduction

The General Foundation of the University of Alcalá is a charitable, educational, non-profit institution of general interest, with its own legal personality and full ability to work.

It is born by virtue of the agreement adopted by the governmental Council of the University of Alcalá in the session held on February 27, 1989, which had the aim of cooperating with the University in the fulfillment of its objectives through promotion and spreading of Education, Science and Culture, being this the Foundation's main purpose together with the promotion of Research and International Cooperation.
